Marmo Wall Light - Gold Frame with Natural Stone Slab

The Marmo is a wall light built around a single natural stone slab set within a gold-plated rectangular metal frame, with a single E14 bulb fitting behind the stone. The stone itself acts as the diffuser, with light passing through its translucent surface to create texture and shadow on the wall behind. The 48cm tall vertical frame gives architectural presence while the 19cm width keeps the wall projection minimal.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, living room accent walls and bedroom bedhead positions, the Marmo works as both functional lighting and a decorative statement. The light output is directional rather than ambient, casting soft illumination upwards and downwards along the wall plane. The rectangular frame reads as a clean geometric outline during daylight, while the stone reveals its grain and tonal variation when lit after dark. The fitting requires a standard UK wall back box and is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only.

Each stone slab shows different mineral deposits, veining and colour shifts depending on the section it was cut from, so no two Marmo lights look identical when illuminated. The gold-plated frame brings warm metallic accents that pair with brass hardware, warm wood tones and earth-coloured interiors, while the stone itself softens the industrial geometry of the metal. The frame measures 480mm high x 190mm wide x 120mm deep once mounted, with the stone sitting approximately 80-90mm proud of the wall surface.

What bulb does it take?

The Marmo takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED bulb at 2700K-3000K is recommended to bring out the natural tones in the stone.

Does the stone vary between pieces?

Yes. Each stone slab is cut from natural material, so the mineral deposits, veining, colour and translucency differ between individual lights. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Marmo is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor positions.

How is the stone cleaned?

Natural stone is porous. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners.
