Alystri 2 Light Globe Alabaster Floor Lamp - Soft White

The Alystri is a two-globe alabaster floor lamp built around a 300mm primary sphere and a 120mm secondary sphere, both cut from natural Spanish alabaster and carried on a slender soft white frame. The larger globe takes an E27 bulb and the smaller takes a G9 (both sold separately), so each sphere is independently lit and the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser, glowing warmly when the bulbs are on.

The lamp suits living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners as a source of ambient light rather than directed task light. Positioned beside an armchair, sofa or console, the asymmetric globe arrangement reads as a sculptural object during the day and a soft pool of light after dark. The narrow soft white stem keeps the visual footprint compact, so the lamp fits comfortably alongside furniture without crowding a seating layout.

Each globe is cut from solid Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral marking and tonal variation differ between individual pieces and between the two spheres on a single lamp. The supporting structure combines solid copper with a soft white painted finish, which lifts the warm tones of the alabaster without competing with them. The two-globe scale creates rhythm without making the lamp feel top-heavy on its slim frame.

What bulbs does the Alystri take?

The larger 300mm globe takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb and the smaller 120mm globe takes one G9 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For a warm ambient effect that complements the alabaster, pair both with 2700K-3000K LEDs at moderate wattage.

Does each alabaster globe look the same?

No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, mineral patterning and translucency vary between individual spheres. The two globes on a single lamp will also differ from each other. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted and the dimmer used. Choose dimmable LED bulbs in both the E27 and G9 sockets and pair with a compatible LED-rated dimmer for adjustable brightness. Please contact us before purchase if you need confirmation against a specific dimmer model.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe each globe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and never use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
