Arvella Small Alabaster Column Wall Light - Soft White

The Arvella Small is a 450mm vertical wall light cut from a single column of natural Spanish alabaster, set on a solid copper backplate finished in soft white. The stone is shaped into a slim cylinder with rounded top and bottom edges, measuring 70mm wide and projecting just 50mm from the wall. An integrated 6W LED inside the column casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, turning the stone itself into the diffuser.

The slim projection and narrow profile suit hallways, bedside positions, living rooms and stairwell walls where a flush-feeling wall light is needed. The vertical format works well repeated in pairs either side of a bed, or installed in a row along a corridor to create rhythm and break up long wall runs. At 230V mains with an integrated driver, the fitting hard-wires into a standard UK wall back box.

Each Arvella column shows different mineral veining, cloudy tonal variation and translucency depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two pieces look identical when lit. The soft white copper backplate disappears against most wall colours, leaving the alabaster to carry the visual weight. The 6W LED runs cool and efficient, suiting installations where the light is left on for long periods as ambient illumination.

Does the Arvella come with the LED bulb included?

Yes. The Arvella uses an integrated 6W LED rated at 3000K warm white, built into the fitting. There is no separate bulb to buy or replace.

Is the alabaster pattern the same on every piece?

No. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This natural variation is a feature of the stone, not a defect.

Can I install two side by side as bedside wall lights?

Yes. The 70mm width and 50mm projection suit bedside use, and the vertical format works well installed in pairs at matching heights either side of a bed. Each fitting hard-wires into a standard UK back box at 230V mains, so plan switching during installation.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
