The Arvello is a 210mm semi-flush ceiling light built from a solid copper dome canopy in matte black with a natural Spanish alabaster cylinder suspended directly beneath. The shallow dome sits close to the ceiling at 130mm overall projection, with the alabaster diffuser hanging below to take a single G9 lamp (sold separately). The result is a small-scale fitting that combines a hard metal silhouette with a softly translucent stone shade.

Suited to lower-ceiling rooms where a hanging pendant would intrude, the Arvello works as a hallway light, a bedside ceiling fitting above a low-profile bed, a small bathroom zone-3 alternative on a dimmer, or as paired lighting along a corridor. The compact 210mm canopy footprint covers a standard UK ceiling rose and the 130mm projection keeps the fitting well clear of head height in rooms with ceilings as low as 2.2m.

The alabaster cylinder is cut from a single block of natural stone, so each piece carries different veining, tonal banding and small mineral inclusions across the surface. With the G9 lamp lit, light passes through the wall of the cylinder rather than spilling from the open base, giving a soft warm glow that emphasises the stone's translucency and pattern. The matte black copper dome contrasts sharply against the pale stone and avoids the reflective glare of a polished finish.

What bulb does the Arvello take?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule lamp (sold separately). Most users pair it with a 3-4W warm-white LED G9 around 2700K-3000K to bring out the warm tones in the alabaster. Avoid high-wattage halogen G9 lamps, as the heat is concentrated within the alabaster cylinder.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The total projection from the ceiling is 130mm, so the Arvello suits rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.2m where a hanging pendant would feel intrusive. The 210mm canopy diameter keeps the fitting visually compact even in small hallways and bedrooms.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each cylinder is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and mineral markings differ from one fitting to the next. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a manufacturing fault, and is most visible when the lamp is lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, followed by drying with a soft cloth.
