Arvello 1 Light Wide Dome Alabaster Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Soft White & Brushed Brass

The Arvello is a 380mm semi-flush ceiling light built from a wide, shallow brushed brass disc canopy and a rounded alabaster diffuser set centrally beneath it. The fitting holds a single G9 lamp inside the alabaster bowl, which casts light downward through the natural stone and reflects warm tones back off the brass disc above. Total projection from the ceiling is just 100mm, making it suitable for low-ceiling rooms where a deeper pendant would feel intrusive.

Designed for hallways, landings, bedrooms, walk-in wardrobes and smaller living spaces with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m, the Arvello sits close to the ceiling while still offering enough decorative presence to anchor a room. Standard ceiling lights for low ceilings tend to be plain bulkheads or basic flush plates; the Arvello provides a sculptural alternative without sacrificing clearance. The G9 socket accepts a wide range of 230V mains lamps for flexibility on brightness and colour temperature.

Construction combines solid copper with natural Spanish alabaster. The copper canopy carries a brushed brass finish that softens reflections and shows fine directional grain across its broad surface. The alabaster diffuser is cut from a single block of stone, so each piece carries its own veining, cloudy mineral formations and tonal shifts; no two Arvello fittings look identical when lit. The contrast between the smooth brass disc and the organic alabaster bowl is the defining feature of the design.

Is the Arvello suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. With a total drop of 100mm from the ceiling face, the Arvello sits close to the ceiling and works well in rooms with heights of 2.2m and above. It's a good alternative to a plain flush plate where a more sculptural fitting is wanted without losing headroom.

What bulb does it take and is it included?

The fitting takes a single G9 capsule lamp on 230V mains. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster diffuser and produces a warm cast through the stone.

Does each alabaster bowl look the same?

No. Each diffuser is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy formations and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and the variation becomes more visible when the lamp is lit.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe the alabaster gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble. The brushed brass canopy can be dusted with a separate dry cloth; do not use abrasive pads on the brass finish.
