Aurelian LED Alabaster Column Wall Light - Satin Nickel

The Aurelian is a 360mm wall light built around a slim vertical column of natural Spanish alabaster, mounted on a satin nickel cylinder that runs through an oval backplate. An integrated 3W LED at 3000K sits inside the alabaster tube, so the stone itself acts as the diffuser and glows from within rather than projecting light from a hidden source.

The fitting suits hallways, stairwells, bedrooms either side of a bed, and living rooms where a vertical wash of warm light is wanted alongside a mirror or piece of artwork. The 90mm projection keeps the light close to the wall, which is useful in narrower corridors and landings where a deeper-projecting fitting would catch shoulders. Pairs of Aurelians installed symmetrically create rhythm along a wall without dominating it.

The alabaster column shows the natural tonal variation and fine veining of the Spanish stone it's cut from, so each piece differs slightly when lit. The satin nickel finish on the solid copper frame is brushed rather than mirror-polished, which softens reflections and pairs comfortably with both cool greys and warmer neutral palettes. At 75mm wide and 360mm tall, the proportions read as a slim vertical accent rather than a feature fitting.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ slightly between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect, and is most visible when the LED is lit.

Is the Aurelian dimmable?

The integrated LED is rated at 3W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model used, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

The Aurelian does not carry a stated IP rating in the specification, so it should be treated as suited to dry interior locations only. For bathrooms, choose a wall light with an IP44 or higher rating in the relevant zone.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water.
