Auriel 13 Light Alabaster Globe Chandelier - Brushed Brass

The Auriel is a 13-light cluster chandelier built from individual 120mm alabaster globes suspended on fine clear cables from a 560mm-diameter brushed brass ceiling canopy. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster and houses its own G9 lamp, with the thirteen shades grouped at staggered heights to form a rounded cluster roughly 560mm across at its widest point.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, dining rooms with high ceilings and open-plan living spaces, the Auriel suits rooms where a sculptural light source can sit at eye-level above a table or be viewed from a landing. The 1500mm overall drop is set on installation by adjusting the suspension cables, so the cluster can hang as a compact ball close to the canopy or be lowered to fill a vertical void above a stairwell.

Each alabaster globe shows different mineral veining and tonal variation, so the cluster reads as a group of related but distinct shades rather than thirteen identical balls. The brushed brass canopy and small fittings at the top of each globe pick up warm light from the lit alabaster, while the clear suspension cables disappear against most ceiling colours and reinforce the floating effect. With thirteen G9 lamps lit together, the chandelier produces a substantial pool of warm ambient light without a single dominant hot spot.

What bulbs does the Auriel take?

The chandelier takes 13 x G9 capsule lamps, one inside each alabaster globe. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K, around 2-3W per lamp, gives the most natural rendering of the alabaster veining.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1500mm overall drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the suspension cables. The Auriel works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, and is particularly suited to double-height halls, stairwells and vaulted dining spaces where the full drop can be used.

Do the alabaster globes vary between pieces?

Yes. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tone and translucency differ between individual shades and between chandeliers. Variation between globes is part of the natural material and not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble or glass. Wipe each globe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on the shades.
