Avelora Round Alabaster Wall Light - Brass & Soft White

The Avelora is a 250mm round wall light that pairs a natural Spanish alabaster disc with a perforated solid copper backplate finished in brass. The alabaster sits offset against the larger brass disc, secured by a small round brass stud at the lower edge, and houses a single G9 lamp tucked behind the stone so the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser.

Suited to hallways, bedside walls, stairwells and bathroom landings outside of zoned wet areas, the Avelora works as ambient or low-level accent lighting rather than task light. The compact 250mm diameter and shallow projection make it a practical choice for narrow corridors and reading-side wall positions where a deeper fitting would intrude. It mounts to a standard UK back box and the G9 lamp is accessed from behind the alabaster disc for replacement.

The perforated brass backplate is the defining detail. Fine pinhole drilling across the disc lets a halo of light bleed out around the alabaster when the lamp is on, casting a soft pattern onto the wall behind and giving the fitting a second layer of glow beyond the stone. Each alabaster disc carries its own veining and tonal shift between ivory and faint warm gold, so no two pieces are visually identical when lit.

What bulb does the Avelora take?

The fitting uses a single G9 capsule lamp, sold separately. A 3W-4W warm-white LED G9 around 2700K-3000K pairs well with the alabaster, keeping the stone glow warm rather than cold or blue.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Avelora does not carry a stated IP rating in the supplied specification, so it should be installed outside of bathroom zones 0, 1 and 2. It is suitable for landings, dressing areas and bedrooms with en-suites where it is positioned away from direct splash zones.

Does each alabaster disc look the same?

No. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tone and translucency vary between pieces. Some discs lean ivory, others show faint golden or grey banding. This variation is part of the material rather than a defect.

How is the lamp replaced?

The G9 lamp sits behind the alabaster disc and is accessed by carefully releasing the disc from the brass backplate. Always isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before changing the lamp and allow it to cool fully before handling.
