Averon Faceted Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & Soft White

The Averon is a 460mm table lamp built around a faceted base carved from natural Spanish alabaster, topped with a 350mm soft white drum shade and finished with brass detailing at the neck and finial. The base is cut into a tapered geometric form with angled planes that catch light differently across each facet, while the single E27 lamp socket beneath the shade accepts a standard screw-fit bulb (sold separately).

Sized for bedside tables, console tables and sideboards, the Averon works as a bedroom or living room lamp where ambient light is needed alongside a sculptural object. The 350mm shade diameter gives a generous spread of diffused light at seating or reading height, while the 460mm overall height suits standard bedside cabinets between 500mm and 700mm tall. A single lamp suits a console or hall table; a pair flanks a bed or sofa table symmetrically.

Each alabaster base shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, so no two Averon lamps look identical. The faceted geometry contrasts the soft cylindrical shade above, and the brass collar and finial pick up warmth from any bulb fitted inside. The soft white PVC-backed shade diffuses light evenly without the hot spot a translucent shade can produce, giving steady ambient illumination across the room.

What bulb does the Averon take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6W and 10W at 2700K-3000K gives ambient light suited to bedrooms and living rooms; the maximum wattage rating is shown on the lamp holder.

Is the alabaster base unique to each lamp?

Yes. Each base is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and the way light catches across the facets differ between individual pieces. Variation is part of the natural stone, not a defect.

Is it suitable as a bedside lamp?

The 460mm height pairs well with bedside cabinets between 500mm and 700mm tall, placing the shade roughly at sitting-up reading height. A pair either side of a bed gives balanced ambient light without needing overhead lighting.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe the base gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
