Axis 27 Light Alabaster Linear Chandelier - Matte Black

The Axis is a 2.6m linear pendant carrying 27 Spanish alabaster spheres along a slim matte black horizontal bar. Each 130mm alabaster ball is mounted in a staggered arrangement above and below the bar, with G9 lamps inside each sphere lighting the natural stone from within. The mineral veining in every shade is different, so the bar reads as a row of softly glowing pebbles rather than identical glass globes.

At 2600mm long, the Axis is built for long dining tables seating eight or more, kitchen islands of 2.4m and over, conference tables, and open-plan rooms where a single fitting needs to span a generous surface. The bar suspends from four cable drops with a 1500mm adjustable cable length, allowing it to hang at the typical 700-800mm above a worktop or table. The 320mm overall height includes the projection of the alabaster spheres above and below the central bar.

The matte black bar disappears against darker ceilings and recedes visually against pale ones, leaving the alabaster as the dominant element. Construction is solid copper finished in matte black, with each alabaster sphere hand-cut from natural Spanish stone. The off-axis arrangement of the 27 shades introduces visual rhythm along the length without breaking the clean horizontal line of the bar itself.

What bulbs does the Axis take?

Each of the 27 alabaster spheres takes a G9 capsule bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most owners pair this fitting with warm-white 2700K-3000K G9 LEDs around 2-3W per lamp to keep the look soft and balanced across the full length.

What size table or island does it suit?

At 2600mm long, the Axis is sized for dining tables seating eight or more, kitchen islands of 2.4m and longer, and conference or boardroom tables. As a guide, leave 200-300mm of clear space at each end of the table when centring the fitting.

How is it suspended?

The bar hangs from four cable drops fixed to the ceiling, with a 1500mm adjustable cable length that can be shortened on installation. The four-point suspension keeps the 2.6m bar level along its full span.

Does each alabaster sphere look the same?

No. Every sphere is hand-cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tone and translucency vary between shades. When lit, this gives the bar 27 individually different glowing patterns rather than a uniform row.
