Bellaro Textured Alabaster Column Pendant Light - Soft White & Brass

The Bellaro is a 140mm-diameter alabaster column pendant with a 350mm cylindrical shade cut from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended from a polished brass ceiling plate via a slim black stem and a fretted brass collar. The shade is finished with horizontal ridging that wraps the full height of the column, breaking the surface into shallow tiers that catch light differently from each angle. A single E14 lamp inside the column lights the stone from within.

The narrow 140mm diameter and tall 350mm shade make the Bellaro suited to clustering in groups of three or five over a kitchen island or long dining table, or hanging singly above a bedside, hallway console or stairwell return. Drop is set on installation using the black flex, and the brass ceiling plate fits standard UK ceiling roses. The compact shade footprint also works well over a freestanding bath where a single warm point of light is wanted without a wide canopy.

The alabaster is cut from solid blocks of Spanish stone, so each shade carries its own veining and tonal variation; no two Bellaro pendants light identically. Above the shade, the polished brass cap is openworked with vertical slots that allow heat to vent and cast a faint upward glow against the ceiling. The black metal stem separates the brass collar from the stone, giving the fitting a clear three-part silhouette of brass, black and white.

Does the Bellaro come with a bulb?

No. The pendant takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K and 4-6W gives the closest match to the soft glow the alabaster is designed to diffuse.

Can the drop length be adjusted?

Yes. The black flex cable is shortened on installation to set the hanging height. For dining tables and kitchen islands the shade typically sits 700-800mm above the surface; over a bedside or console, 500-600mm above the surface works well.

Will the alabaster veining match across multiple pendants?

No two Bellaro shades are identical. Each is cut from a separate section of natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between pieces. When clustered in threes or fives the variation reads as part of the design rather than a fault.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid water, household sprays and chemical cleaners, as these can mark or discolour the stone over time.
