Bellorin Alabaster Pendant Light - Soft White & Brushed Brass

The Bellorin is a single-pendant light built around a tapered shade hand-cut from natural Spanish alabaster, suspended on a black braided cable from a brushed brass canopy. The shade measures 150mm in diameter and 230mm in height, drawing into a soft point at the lower edge with a faceted upper shoulder that catches and softens the light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Sized for tighter spaces than full-width feature pendants, the Bellorin suits kitchen islands hung in groups of two or three, bedside positions in place of a table lamp, narrow hallways and stairwells, and breakfast bars where ceiling clearance matters. The brushed brass ceiling rose fits standard UK ceiling roses, and the cable can be shortened on installation to set the shade at the height required by the room.

Each alabaster shade carries different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from. The surface shows soft white and pale cream tones with faint translucent patches that become visible when the lamp is lit, allowing warm light to glow through the stone itself. The brushed brass collar and canopy soften reflections and pair comfortably with both warm and cooler interior palettes.

What bulb does the Bellorin take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K works well, allowing the alabaster to glow without overheating the shade or producing a cool, clinical tone.

Does each alabaster shade look the same?

No. Every shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, translucency and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means no two Bellorin pendants are identical when lit.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The black braided cable can be shortened on installation to set the shade at the height the room needs. For a kitchen island, the shade typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop; for a bedside or hallway position, lower drops can be set during fitting.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
