Belvix Medium Alabaster Dome Pendant Light - Soft White & Brushed Brass

The Belvix is a 200mm dome pendant light with a shade carved from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended below a cylindrical white marble stem and brushed brass collar. A single E27 lamp holder sits inside the dome, and the black flex drops from a brushed brass cable grip at the top of the stem. Overall fitting height is 250mm, excluding the adjustable cable drop.

The medium-scale dome suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables hung individually or as a run of two or three pendants spaced 400-500mm apart. It also works well as a single pendant over a bedside table, in a hallway or above a console. Hung 700-800mm above a worktop or table surface, the alabaster casts a warm downlight pool while the translucent shade glows softly across its full surface.

Alabaster, marble and brass are paired here as three distinct natural materials rather than a single uniform finish. The alabaster shade carries the irregular cloudy veining typical of the stone, the marble stem shows finer linear veining, and the brushed brass pin and collar between them give a defined warm-metal break between the two stones. Each shade is cut from a different section of alabaster, so veining and translucency vary between individual pendants.

What bulb does the Belvix take?

The pendant uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the natural alabaster and gives the most flattering glow through the stone.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp holder itself does not restrict dimming; dimmability depends on the bulb fitted and the dimmer switch used. Choose a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer for best results.

Will every Belvix pendant look identical?

No. The shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, tonal variation and translucency differ between pieces. The marble stem also shows individual veining. This natural variation is part of the design rather than a defect.

How is alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, then dried immediately with a soft cloth.
