Bravora 1 Light Alabaster Globe Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Brushed Brass

The Bravora is a compact semi-flush ceiling light built around a 150mm sphere of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended below a circular brushed brass canopy. A single G9 lamp sits inside the alabaster globe and casts light through the stone itself, turning the diffuser into the light source rather than projecting light through a separate shade.

The semi-flush format suits rooms with lower ceiling heights of 2.2-2.5m where a hanging pendant would intrude on head height — hallways, landings, smaller bedrooms, en-suites, walk-in wardrobes and entrance vestibules. The brass canopy fixes directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the alabaster globe sitting just below, giving an overall projection of around 200mm from the ceiling line. A single fitting suits compact spaces; multiple Bravoras can be spaced along a hallway run.

Each globe is cut from solid Spanish alabaster, so the surface shows natural mineral veining, cloudy translucent areas and warm tonal variation across the stone. No two pieces are identical, and the veining only fully reveals itself when the lamp is on and light passes through the alabaster. The brushed brass canopy provides a low-sheen warm metallic ring that frames the globe without competing with the natural stone pattern below.

Is the Bravora suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. As a semi-flush fitting it sits close to the ceiling with a total projection of around 200mm, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.2m and above where a hanging pendant would feel too low.

What bulb does it take, and is one included?

The Bravora uses a single G9 capsule lamp. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED of around 2700-3000K is recommended to bring out the warm tonal veining in the alabaster.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

This fitting is not supplied with a published IP rating, so we recommend treating it as suitable for general living spaces, hallways and bedrooms rather than zoned bathroom areas. Please contact us before specifying for a bathroom.

Does each globe look the same?

No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, cloudy translucent areas and tonal variation differ between pieces. This is a feature of the natural material and is most visible when the lamp is illuminated.
