Bravora 1 Light Cube Alabaster Semi-Flush Ceiling Light - Soft White & Brushed Brass

The Bravora is a compact cube semi-flush ceiling light built from a solid block of natural Spanish alabaster, fitted to a circular brushed brass canopy. The shade measures 150mm across with a 180mm overall drop, housing a single G9 lamp inside the cube. Light passes through all four vertical faces and the underside of the stone, turning the alabaster into the diffuser and revealing the veining within the block.

The low 180mm projection makes the Bravora a practical choice for ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel intrusive: hallways, landings, en-suites, walk-in wardrobes, and bedrooms with ceiling heights below 2.4m. As a semi-flush rather than a fully flush fitting, it sits close to the ceiling while keeping enough separation between the brass plate and the cube to read as a distinct object rather than a recessed downlight.

Each cube is cut from a single piece of alabaster, so the veining, cloudy formations and tonal shifts vary between individual fittings. Sharp corners and flat planes give the shade a defined geometric character that contrasts with the circular brushed brass canopy above. The brushed finish on the brass softens reflections and pairs the warm metallic tone with the softer cream and white tones of the stone.

What bulb does it take, and is one included?

The Bravora takes a single G9 capsule lamp. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K best matches the natural cream tones of the alabaster.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The total drop is 180mm, making it well suited to ceilings under 2.4m where a pendant would hang too low. It works as primary lighting in hallways, landings, walk-in wardrobes, and small bedrooms.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each cube is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy markings and tonal variation differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe the cube with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
