Caelith 10 Light Large Panel Alabaster Chandelier - Brushed Brass

The Caelith Large is an 800mm circular chandelier built from a ring of stepped Spanish alabaster panels alternated with brushed brass blades, suspended from twin steel cables on a 1500mm drop. Ten G4 capsule bulbs sit behind the panels, lighting the alabaster from within so the natural veining and tonal variation in each piece reads as a soft, layered glow rather than a single bright source.

At 800mm in diameter and 400mm tall, the Caelith is sized for larger rooms: open-plan living spaces, formal dining rooms over a 6-8 seat table, double-height entrance halls, and stairwell voids. The cable suspension allows the drop to be adjusted on installation, typically setting the chandelier 700-800mm above a dining table or 2.1-2.3m above floor level in entrance applications. Mains power runs through one of the suspension points to the fitting.

The frame combines solid copper and aluminium components finished in brushed brass, with the alabaster cut into rectangular panels of varying width and arranged in a stepped formation around the ring. Each panel shows different mineral veining and translucency, so the lit chandelier displays a mix of warmer cream sections and cooler grey-veined sections rather than uniform colour. The brushed finish on the brass softens reflection and pairs the warm metallic tone with the natural stone without competing against it.

What ceiling height does the Caelith need?

With a 400mm fitting height and 1500mm cable drop, the chandelier hangs roughly 1.9m below the ceiling at full extension. It works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or more, or in stairwell and double-height applications. The cable can be shortened on installation for lower ceilings.

Which bulbs does the Caelith Large take?

The chandelier takes ten G4 capsule bulbs, which are not supplied with the fitting. Because the bulbs are replaceable you can choose the brightness and colour temperature that suit the room, and replace them individually over time. Please contact us if you would like advice on selecting bulbs.

Does each alabaster panel look the same?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between panels. When lit, the ring shows a mix of warmer cream sections and cooler grey-veined sections. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone. The brushed brass frame can be dusted with the same dry cloth.
