Caelune Suspended Alabaster Wall Light - Soft White & Black

The Caelune is a single-light wall fitting with a 140mm natural Spanish alabaster shade suspended on an adjustable cable from a curved black metal arm and circular wall plate. The shade combines a tapered upper section with a wider cylindrical lower drum, lit by a single E27 bulb (sold separately) that diffuses warm light through the stone.

Designed for bedside positions, hallway walls, dressing areas and lounge alcoves, the Caelune works where a fixed wall light would feel rigid. The 1000mm cable is adjustable on installation, letting the alabaster shade hang at bedside-table height beside a bed, lower as a reading light next to an armchair, or higher as a decorative wall accent. The black wall plate fits a standard recessed back box.

The alabaster shade is cut from natural Spanish stone, so each piece carries different mineral veining and tonal variation that becomes visible once the bulb is lit. The matt black arm and wall plate contrast sharply with the pale stone, and the slim cable drop keeps the visual weight at the shade rather than the structure. Combined height with the cable fully extended is approximately 1140mm.

What bulb does the Caelune take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K suits the alabaster shade best, producing a soft amber glow through the stone. Avoid bulbs above 40W equivalent heat output to protect the shade.

Can the cable length be shortened?

Yes. The 1000mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the shade to hang anywhere from just below the wall plate down to the full 1140mm combined drop. This is set during fitting by a qualified electrician.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect, and is most visible when the bulb is lit.

Is it suitable as a bedside wall light?

Yes. The adjustable cable lets the shade hang at bedside-table height, freeing the surface below for books, glasses or a phone. Hardwired installation removes the need for a trailing plug-in cable beside the bed.
