Caldera Large Alabaster Wall Light - Matt Black

The Caldera Large is a 580mm alabaster wall light built around a single elongated panel of natural Spanish alabaster, bisected at its midpoint by a floating matt black metal band. An integrated 12W LED set behind the stone casts warm 3000K light through the alabaster, with the band visually splitting the panel into upper and lower glowing sections.

The slim 120mm width and 100mm projection from the wall make the Caldera suitable for hallways, stairwells, feature walls and bedrooms where a vertical light source is needed without intruding into the room. Mounted at typical sconce height of 1.5-1.7m, the fixture works as ambient and accent lighting in spaces with limited floor footprint, including narrow corridors where pendant or floor lighting is impractical.

The body combines solid copper internals with a natural alabaster front panel, and the matt black finish on the band and back plate provides a defined contrast against the soft white glow of the stone. Each alabaster panel is individually cut, so the cloud-like mineral veining and tonal variation differ between pieces and become more visible once the LED is switched on. The slim rectangular profile reads as architectural rather than decorative, suiting contemporary, minimalist and modern interiors.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Caldera uses an integrated 12W LED rated at 3000K warm white, built into the fixture. There is no replaceable bulb to source separately.

Where does the light project?

Light diffuses through the full alabaster panel, producing a vertical wash both above and below the central matt black band. The output is ambient rather than directional, so the fixture lights the wall around it rather than acting as a reading or task light.

Is it suitable for bathroom use?

No IP rating is listed, so the Caldera is intended for indoor dry locations only. It should not be installed in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2, or in any location where it may be exposed to splashing water or steam.

Why does the alabaster look different in each photo?

Alabaster is a natural stone, so each panel is cut from a different section and shows its own pattern of mineral veining and tonal variation. These differences become more pronounced when the LED is switched on and light passes through the stone.
