Caldera LED Alabaster Wall Light Small - Matt Black

The Caldera Small is a 470mm alabaster wall light built around two vertical panels of natural Spanish alabaster, separated by a slim matt black bar that runs the full height of the fitting. A solid copper frame in a matt black finish wraps the alabaster on all four sides, and an integrated 6W 3000K LED inside the body lights the stone from within for a warm soft white output.

Suited to hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and either side of a mirror or fireplace, the Caldera works in tight wall sections where a wider sconce would feel heavy. The 120mm width and 100mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall, while the 470mm height adds vertical emphasis to spaces with standard or higher ceilings. Installed singly as an accent or in pairs to flank a feature, it reads as architectural rather than decorative.

The split-core detail is the design's defining feature: rather than a single alabaster panel, two stone sections meet at a central black bar, breaking the lit surface into upper and lower halves. Natural veining in the Spanish alabaster varies between pieces, so the pattern of warm and cooler tones across each panel is unique. The matt black copper frame is finished to a low sheen that absorbs reflections and reads cleanly against both pale and dark wall colours.

Does the Caldera need a separate bulb?

No. The light source is an integrated 6W LED rated at 3000K warm white, built into the fitting. There is no separate bulb to replace.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No IP rating is listed for this fitting, so it should be installed in dry indoor locations only — hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and living rooms. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or external use.

Will the alabaster pattern match between two units?

Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining and tonal variation differ between pieces. When installed as a pair, the two fittings will read as a matched set rather than identical, which is characteristic of the natural stone.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe the alabaster gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners — alabaster is porous and can be marked by liquids. The matt black frame can be dusted with the same dry cloth.
