Caldrin 8 Light Tiered Panel Alabaster Chandelier - Soft White & Brass

The Caldrin is a 600mm-diameter eight-light chandelier built from natural Spanish alabaster panels arranged in a tiered circular drum around a brass radial frame. Eight E14 lamp sockets sit at the centre of the fitting, casting light outward through the stone so each panel glows from within. The overall fitting height is 330mm at the drum, with a brass canopy and adjustable suspension rod above.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Caldrin works as a central decorative and ambient light source. The 600mm diameter suits dining tables between 1.4m and 2.0m long, where the drum typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface. The brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension can be shortened on installation to suit lower ceilings.

Each rectangular alabaster panel is cut from solid stone, so veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between panels and between individual chandeliers. The panels are fixed to slender brass radial arms with visible brass studs at top and bottom, so the alabaster reads as a stepped, layered band rather than a continuous shade. The soft white tone of the stone pairs with the warm brass frame and central hub, giving the fitting a quieter presence than a crystal chandelier of similar scale.

What bulbs does the Caldrin take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K, which complement the warm tone of the alabaster and brass.

Will the alabaster panels look identical?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral density and translucency vary between panels on the same chandelier and between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect, and is part of why each Caldrin lights differently when switched on.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Dust the panels with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used sparingly.
