Caldrisa 10 Light Layered Panel Alabaster Chandelier - Brass

The Caldrisa is a 560mm circular chandelier built around a brushed brass ring, with vertical panels of natural Spanish alabaster set in two staggered tiers to form a continuous drum of stone. Ten G9 lamp sockets sit inside the ring (bulbs sold separately), casting light outward through the alabaster and downward through the open base. The fitting is 150mm deep and suspends from a matching brass canopy on three slim steel cables.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, entrance halls and primary bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Caldrisa works as both ambient and decorative lighting. The 560mm diameter suits dining tables of 1.2-1.8m in length and round tables of 1.0-1.4m, hung 700-800mm above the table surface. The cable suspension can be adjusted on installation to set the drop appropriate to the room.

Each alabaster panel is cut from solid stone, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ across the ring. The honed surface keeps the natural texture of the alabaster visible, with some panels appearing milkier and others showing stronger mineral markings when lit from within. The lower tier sits slightly inset from the upper tier, producing a stepped edge profile that catches light differently across the circumference rather than presenting as a single flat drum.

Brass detail is concentrated at the top ring, the small fixing pins between panels, and the ceiling canopy, leaving the alabaster to dominate the visual mass of the fitting. The warm brass tone reads alongside the cream and ivory ranges in the stone, making the Caldrisa a comfortable fit in warm-neutral, classical and contemporary interiors.

What bulbs does the Caldrisa take?

The chandelier uses ten G9 capsule bulbs (sold separately). Most buyers pair it with G9 LED capsules between 2.5W and 4W at 2700K-3000K to keep the warm tone of the alabaster and brass without generating excess heat inside the ring.

What size dining table does it suit?

The 560mm diameter works above rectangular dining tables of 1.2-1.8m in length and round tables of 1.0-1.4m. As a guide, hang the chandelier 700-800mm above the table surface, which fits comfortably in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the G9 bulbs fitted and the dimmer used. Many G9 LED capsules are non-dimmable, so check the bulb specification and dimmer compatibility before installation. Halogen G9 bulbs dim cleanly on standard trailing-edge dimmers.

Does the alabaster vary between panels?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral markings and translucency differ between panels and between individual chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and is most visible when the fitting is lit.
