Calera LED Large Oval Alabaster Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Calera is a 350mm tall oval wall light cut from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster, cradled at its lower half by a curved brushed brass arc. An integrated 10W 3000K LED sits behind the stone and lights the alabaster from within, so the oval itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting measures 280mm wide and projects only modestly from the wall.

Designed for hallways, bedside walls, lounges and stairwell landings, the Calera works as soft ambient or accent lighting rather than primary task light. Its low projection makes it suitable for narrower corridors where a deeper fitting would feel intrusive, and the integrated LED removes any concern about choosing or replacing a bulb. Hardwired to 230V mains, it fits standard UK back boxes during installation.

Each alabaster oval shows distinct veining in soft whites, creams and honeyed tones, with mineral patterns that only become fully visible once the light is switched on. The solid copper body finished in brushed brass adds weight and structure beneath the stone, and the satin brushed surface keeps reflections low so attention stays on the lit alabaster. No two Calera fittings look identical when illuminated.

Is the Calera dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 10W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing it with a dimmer to confirm.

Do I need to buy a bulb?

No. The 10W 3000K LED is built into the fitting behind the alabaster. There is no bulb to source or replace, which also keeps the rear of the stone visually clean when lit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Calera does not carry a published IP rating in the specification, so it should be treated as an indoor-only fitting for dry locations such as hallways, bedrooms and living rooms rather than bathrooms or shower zones.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
