Calyra LED Alabaster Wall Light - Brass & Soft White

The Calyra is a 600mm wall light built from three hand-carved Spanish alabaster forms mounted along a slim brass spine, each accented with a circular brass disc at its centre. The piece runs vertically with a small alabaster shape at the top, a larger central form, and a medium piece at the base. An integrated 9W LED at 3000K casts warm light through the stone, with the alabaster itself acting as the diffuser.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and lounge feature walls, the Calyra works as ambient and decorative lighting rather than task light. Its 250mm width keeps the projection from the wall modest, while the 600mm height makes it suitable for narrower wall sections beside doorways or flanking a fireplace. The fitting hard-wires to a standard UK back box and runs on 230V mains.

Each of the three alabaster pieces is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining, translucency and tonal variation differ from one Calyra to the next. The contrast between the soft irregular shapes of the alabaster and the clean linear brass spine gives the light a sculptural quality on the wall, and the brass discs centred on each stone read as deliberate punctuation when the lamp is unlit. Construction uses stainless steel internals behind the brass-finished spine for corrosion resistance.

Does the Calyra come with a bulb?

Yes. The light source is an integrated 9W LED at 3000K, built into the fitting. There is no separate bulb to buy or replace.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Calyra is not supplied with an IP rating for wet-zone use, so it should be installed in dry locations such as hallways, bedrooms and living areas rather than bathroom zones.

Will the alabaster pattern match the photo?

Each piece is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining and translucency vary between fittings. The arrangement and proportions stay consistent with the product image, but the exact pattern across the three stone forms will be unique to your light.

How is it mounted to the wall?

The Calyra hard-wires to a standard UK wall back box on a 230V mains supply. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, with the brass spine fixing flush to the wall and the alabaster forms projecting outwards.
