Calystron Branched Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & White

The Calystron is a 750mm table lamp built around a cluster of brushed brass stems that rise from a circular white marble base, each stem topped with a slim alabaster rod. The brass framework supports a single E27 lamp holder concealed beneath a 420mm white drum shade with a warm gold-toned interior that reflects light back through the alabaster rods. The result is a single-bulb table lamp that reads as a multi-element sculptural composition.

Sized for console tables, sideboards and larger bedside tables, the Calystron suits living rooms, hallway consoles and principal bedrooms where a tall decorative lamp is needed alongside an armchair or behind a sofa. The 420mm shade diameter gives a generous spread of ambient light, while the gold-painted shade interior pushes a warmer tone into the room than a plain white-lined shade. The lamp uses a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

The base is cut from natural white marble with grey veining, giving the lamp a stable footprint and a cool mineral contrast against the warmth of the brushed brass stems. The alabaster rods set into each brass stem cap pick up light from the bulb above, glowing softly when the lamp is switched on. Stepped stem heights and the staggered branching arrangement give the lamp a three-dimensional silhouette that changes as you move around it.

What bulb does the Calystron take?

The lamp takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A 6-10W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K pairs well with the gold-toned shade interior and the warm brass framework.

The Calystron stands 750mm tall with a 420mm shade diameter. That scale suits console tables, sideboards, hallway tables and larger bedside tables — it's tall enough to anchor a console behind a sofa rather than a small bedside cabinet.

Is the alabaster on the rods natural?

Yes. The slim rods set into each brass stem cap are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the translucency, veining and tonal variation differ between rods and between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural stone.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe the brass stems and marble base with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so use only a dry cloth on the rods and avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners on any part of the lamp.
