Corvane LED Slim Cylindrical Alabaster Wall Light - Soft White

The Corvane is a 960mm tall slim cylindrical wall light built around a vertical column of natural Spanish alabaster, capped at the top and base with solid copper detailing in a soft white finish. The cylinder measures just 60mm in diameter and projects 45mm from the wall, giving a tall, narrow profile suited to walls where width is limited. An integrated 10W LED runs the length of the column, casting warm 3000K light through the stone.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedrooms and bathrooms outside zone 1, the Corvane works as ambient or accent lighting rather than directional task light. Its slim 60mm width allows it to sit comfortably beside doorways, between windows, or paired vertically alongside a mirror or piece of artwork. Two fittings flanking a bed or console table create a balanced architectural pairing without crowding the wall.

The alabaster column is cut from natural Spanish stone, so each piece carries its own pattern of mineral veining and tonal variation through the surface. When the LED is off, the cylinder reads as a pale stone column with soft grey-white veining; when lit, the translucency of the alabaster reveals deeper layers of pattern as light diffuses through the full height of the form. The solid copper end caps in soft white provide a clean visual stop at the top and base.

The 45mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, which makes the Corvane suitable for narrower hallways and circulation routes where deeper wall lights would interfere with passing traffic. The vertical orientation draws the eye upward, giving the visual effect of taller ceilings in rooms with standard 2.4m heights.

Does it come with the LED bulb included?

Yes. The Corvane has an integrated 10W LED running the length of the alabaster column, rated at 3000K warm white on 230V mains. There is no separate bulb to purchase or replace.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The fitting does not carry a stated IP rating, so it is not suitable for zones 1 or 2 in a bathroom (areas close to a bath or shower). It can be used in bathroom zone 3 and outside the bathroom zones, where it is unlikely to come into contact with water spray.

Can I install it horizontally?

The Corvane is designed as a vertical wall light with the cable entry at the top, but the slim cylindrical form lends itself to horizontal mounting above doorways or above a headboard. Confirm the cable run direction with your electrician at the point of installation.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more persistent marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
