Eliona Capsule Alabaster Pendant Light - Brushed Brass

The Eliona is a 400mm vertical pendant light built around a cylinder of natural Spanish alabaster suspended within a brushed brass capsule-shaped frame. The alabaster cylinder houses a single E14 lamp (sold separately) and runs the full inner length of the brass loop, with the open ends of the capsule allowing light to spill upward and downward beyond the stone itself.

At 125mm wide and 400mm tall, the Eliona is a slim pendant suited to placement in multiples over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, as a single drop above a bedside table, or in a row along an entrance hall. The narrow 125mm footprint means two or three units can be hung close together over a 1.8-2.4m island without crowding. The pendant suspends from a brushed brass rod and ceiling fixing, and is supplied for installation onto a standard UK ceiling rose.

Each alabaster cylinder is cut from a single piece of natural Spanish stone, so the veining, banding and translucency vary between individual pendants. When lit, the mineral structure of the stone becomes visible as warm caramel and ivory layers running through the shade. The brushed brass frame has a softened satin tone that pairs with the alabaster's warmth rather than competing with it, and the rounded capsule profile keeps the silhouette quiet against ceilings of any height.

What bulb does the Eliona take?

The pendant takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) lamp on 230V mains. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K suits the alabaster best and matches the warmth of the brushed brass frame.

Can it be hung in multiples over a kitchen island?

Yes. The 125mm width is deliberately narrow to allow two or three pendants to be hung in a row over an island or breakfast bar. For a 1.8m island two pendants spaced roughly 600mm apart works well; for a 2.4m island three pendants spaced 600-700mm apart is a typical layout.

Will the alabaster look the same as the photograph?

The shape and finish will match, but the veining pattern in the alabaster will not. Each cylinder is cut from a different section of natural Spanish stone, so the banding, mineral colour and translucency vary between pieces. This is a feature of the natural material.

How is the alabaster cared for?

Alabaster is a soft, porous stone. Dust the shade with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, dried immediately afterwards.
