Galaxy 3 Light Semi-Flush Ceiling & Wall Light - Black & Brass

The Galaxy is a 3-light semi-flush fitting with three clear glass globes set on slim black arms radiating from a central black and brushed brass hub. Each globe houses a G9 lamp holder (bulbs sold separately), and the brass collars at the base of each globe pick up the warm tone of the central canopy. The fitting measures 38cm across with a 14cm projection from the ceiling.

The shallow 14cm drop makes the Galaxy suitable for rooms with lower ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel imposing — hallways, landings, smaller bedrooms, and box rooms with ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards. It can also be installed horizontally as a wall light, with the three globes fanning out as a decorative arrangement above a console table or in a stairwell. Standard UK ceiling rose mounting fits a 4-inch back box.

The clear glass globes are open-bottomed, leaving the G9 capsule visible inside. This works best with a small clear or pearl G9 LED to maintain the mid-century mood the fitting is referencing — three points of light against the matte black arms. The combination of matt black metalwork and brushed brass detailing keeps the fitting visually light despite the 38cm spread, and the open frame means it casts minimal shadow on the ceiling above.

What bulbs does the Galaxy take?

The fitting uses three G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with clear or pearl G9 LEDs around 2.5-3W at 2700K-3000K for a warm, decorative light that suits the open-globe design.

Can it be fitted to a wall?

Yes. The Galaxy is designed to mount as either a semi-flush ceiling light or a wall light. When wall-mounted, the three arms fan out from the central canopy, which works well above a console, on a stair half-landing, or as a feature on a hallway wall.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 14cm projection is shallow enough for ceiling heights from 2.2m upwards without the fitting feeling intrusive. Because the arms spread horizontally rather than dropping down, the visual height of the fitting stays low.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Galaxy does not carry a published IP rating, so it is intended for general indoor use rather than bathroom zones. For a bathroom installation, choose a fitting with an appropriate IP rating for the zone in question.
