Selvara LED Small Alabaster Wall Light - Matt Black

The Selvara Small is a 380mm tall alabaster wall light built around a single vertical panel of natural Spanish alabaster, held at the top and bottom by matte black stainless steel caps and mounted on a slim rectangular back plate. An integrated 5W 3000K LED runs behind the stone, lighting the alabaster from within so the panel itself becomes the diffuser rather than a hidden bulb.

At 380mm high, 110mm wide and 100mm deep, the Selvara Small suits hallways, bedside walls, ensuites and staircases where a slim vertical light source is needed without the projection of a traditional sconce. The flat back plate sits close to the wall and the integrated driver runs on 230V mains, so installation uses a standard wall box. Pairs naturally as a mirrored set either side of a bed, doorway or vanity.

Each alabaster panel is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining patterns and tonal variation differ from one fitting to the next. When lit, the soft white surface picks up warm cloudy markings through the stone; when off, it reads as a clean off-white column against the matte black frame. The stainless steel structure resists corrosion better than mild steel, which makes the fitting a sensible option for hallways and well-ventilated bathroom zones outside the splash radius.

Is the Selvara Small dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 5W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED is 3000K, a warm white that matches typical living room and bedroom lighting. The light passes through the alabaster, which warms the tone slightly further as it diffuses through the natural stone.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No IP rating is listed for this fitting, so it should not be installed inside bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2 (within or directly above the bath or shower). It is suitable for use in well-ventilated areas of an ensuite or dressing room outside the splash radius. Always check with a qualified electrician before fitting in a wet area.

Does the alabaster look the same on every fitting?

No. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy markings and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect, and is most visible when the light is switched on.
