Glintara LED Alabaster Disc Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Glintara is a 500mm tall wall light built around a 250mm circular alabaster disc set above an elongated brushed brass stem. A brass rosette pin fixes the stone disc at its centre, and a concealed integrated LED runs along the inner edge of the stem to cast warm 3000K light up the wall and through the alabaster. The disc itself glows from the front, while the brass loop produces a soft linear wash below.

Designed for hallways, stair walls, bedside positions and either side of a feature mirror or headboard, the Glintara works as ambient and decorative wall lighting rather than task light. The slim profile sits close to the wall, making it suitable for narrow corridors and rooms with limited clearance. Hard-wired to a standard UK back box, it operates on 230V mains and requires no separate driver housing on the wall.

Each alabaster disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the grey-brown mineral veining and soft tonal banding differ between individual pieces and become far more visible once the LED is switched on. The brushed brass stem is finished in a warm satin tone that pairs the rounded stone face with a clean architectural line, and the contrast between the matt stone and the polished metal pin at the centre gives the fitting a clear focal point when viewed straight on.

Where is the Glintara best fitted?

It works as ambient and decorative wall lighting in hallways, stair walls, bedrooms either side of a headboard, and on either side of a feature mirror. The light is too diffuse for task work such as reading directly under it, but it provides comfortable ambient illumination at face height.

Does the alabaster disc vary between pieces?

Yes. Each disc is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the mineral veining, tonal banding and translucency differ between individual fittings. The variation becomes more visible once the LED is switched on, as the stone is lit from behind.

How is it installed?

The wall light is hard-wired to a standard UK back box on 230V mains. The integrated LED is built into the fitting, so no separate driver housing is needed on the wall. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the disc gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water.
