Hexaryn LED Interlocking Alabaster Floor Lamp - Matt Black

The Hexaryn is a 1.6m alabaster column floor lamp built from interlocking blocks of natural Spanish alabaster, stacked into a square tower and set on a matt black plinth base. An integrated 3000K LED runs inside the column, lighting each block from within so the stone itself acts as the diffuser. The lamp measures 240mm across and runs on standard 230V mains.

Designed as ambient floor lighting rather than directional task light, the Hexaryn suits living rooms, lounges, hallway corners and bedroom reading areas where a tall, sculptural light source is wanted alongside lower-level lamps. The narrow 240mm footprint allows it to sit in corners, beside sofas or flanking a fireplace without the wide spread of a tripod or shade-based floor lamp. At 1.6m tall it reads as a vertical accent in rooms with ceilings of 2.4m or higher.

Each alabaster block is cut from natural Spanish stone, so the veining, mineral inclusions and translucency vary across the column and from one Hexaryn to the next. When lit, warmer-toned veins read as amber against the soft white body of the stone, and small mineral pockets glow more brightly than the surrounding material. The interlocking construction creates a stepped, almost vertebral profile rather than a smooth cylinder, casting fine horizontal shadow lines on adjacent walls when the lamp is lit in a darker room.

Does the Hexaryn need a separate bulb?

No. The light source is an integrated LED running at 3000K on 230V mains, built into the column. There is no replaceable bulb to fit, and no separate purchase required to use the lamp.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model paired with the integrated LED driver. Please contact us before pairing the Hexaryn with a wall dimmer or plug-in dimmer so we can confirm whether your chosen control will work.

Does each lamp look the same?

No. Each block is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and mineral inclusions differ from one Hexaryn to the next. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and the differences are most visible when the lamp is lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the column gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid household sprays, polishes, glass cleaners or any chemical cleaner, and do not soak the stone with water.
