Iverne 1 Light Twisted Carved Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & Soft White

The Iverne is a 640mm-tall alabaster table lamp built around a vertical column of natural Spanish alabaster carved with a continuous twisted spiral. The stone column sits between a brushed brass collar at the top and a matching brushed brass base, with a single E27 lamp socket beneath a 350mm white drum shade. The spiral carving cuts through the column in open lattice sections, allowing light from the bulb to spill through the stone as well as the shade above.

Designed as bedside, console and side-table lighting, the Iverne suits bedrooms, living rooms and entrance halls where a sculptural lamp is wanted alongside a warm pool of light. Paired in twos either side of a bed or sofa, the carved column gives a clear visual rhythm between the two lamps. The 350mm shade diameter and 640mm height work on console depths of 350mm or more and on bedside tables where there is at least 400mm of width clear.

Each alabaster column is hand-carved, so the spiral profile, veining and translucency vary subtly between pieces. The stone is set on a solid brass plinth that gives the lamp weight and stability, while the brushed finish on the brass softens reflections against the white stone. The cylindrical PVC shade sits in plain contrast to the carved column below, keeping the stonework as the visible feature of the lamp.

What bulb does the Iverne take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, which suits the soft tone of the alabaster and the white shade.

Does the alabaster column light up?

The open lattice sections of the spiral carving allow some light from the E27 bulb to pass through the stone, giving a soft secondary glow at the column. The main light output comes from the white drum shade above.

Is each lamp identical?

No. The column is carved from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral markings and translucency vary between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the column gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water.
