Lumetra Sculpted Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & Soft White

The Lumetra is a 680mm sculpted alabaster table lamp built around a double-gourd body cut from natural Spanish alabaster, set on a square brushed brass plinth and topped with a tapered soft white PVC shade. A slim brass collar links the stone to the shade, and a brass finial caps the harp. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and stands 420mm wide at the shade.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, hallway consoles and dressing tables, Lumetra suits surfaces around 400-500mm deep where its 420mm shade diameter sits comfortably without overhang. The 680mm height places the bulb at typical seated eye level when used on a side table next to a sofa or armchair, and the soft white shade diffuses the E27 source into a wide pool of warm reading and ambient light.

The alabaster body is cut and polished from natural stone, so each Lumetra shows different mineral veining, subtle tonal shifts and varying degrees of translucency. When the lamp is lit, the alabaster picks up a faint glow from the bulb above, giving the base a soft inner warmth alongside the directed light from the shade. The brass plinth and collar are finished in a warm satin brass tone that pairs with both traditional and contemporary palettes.

What bulb does the Lumetra take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the soft white shade and complements the natural tone of the alabaster base.

Does each lamp look the same?

No. The base is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and it means no two Lumetra lamps are identical.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp itself uses a standard E27 socket, so dimming depends entirely on the bulb you fit. Choose a dimmable LED or filament bulb if you want to use it with an inline dimmer or a dimmer switch on the circuit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
