Lyvane 1 Light Medium Globe Alabaster Pendant - Soft White

The Lyvane is a 150mm single-pendant light built around a spherical shade carved from natural Spanish alabaster, capped with a brushed brass collar and suspended on a black flex. A single G9 lamp holder sits inside the globe, casting light outwards through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than the bulb being visible.

The compact 150mm diameter suits clustered installations above a kitchen island or dining table, single drops over bedside tables, or rows along a hallway. The black flex can be shortened on installation to set the globe at the right height for the application, typically 700-800mm above a dining surface or 400-500mm above a bedside table. The G9 fitting accepts standard mains-voltage capsule bulbs (sold separately).

Each alabaster globe is cut from a different section of stone, so the cloud-like markings, fine veining and tonal shifts vary between pieces. The lower half tends to glow slightly warmer when lit, picking up the deeper mineral lines in the stone. The brushed brass cap adds a warm metallic accent against the soft white surface and conceals the lamp holder and cable entry where the flex meets the globe.

What bulb does the Lyvane take?

The pendant uses a single G9 capsule bulb (sold separately). A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K is recommended to bring out the natural warmth of the alabaster.

Does each globe look the same?

No. Every globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, cloud-like markings and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the stone, not a defect, and means no two Lyvane pendants light up identically.

Can it be hung in clusters?

Yes. The 150mm diameter and single-drop format suit clusters of three, five or seven over kitchen islands and dining tables, hung at staggered heights. Each pendant is wired individually and requires its own ceiling outlet or a multi-outlet plate.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid water, household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable.
