Majorae Large Split Alabaster LED Wall Light - Matt Black

The Majorae is a 520mm tall split alabaster wall light built from two opposing curved shells of natural Spanish alabaster, separated by a narrow central channel and joined by a matt black leather spine. An integrated 3000K LED sits behind the alabaster, washing light through the stone and out from the central split, so the fitting reads as a softly glowing sculpted form rather than a conventional lamp.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, bedside positions and lounge feature walls, the Majorae works as ambient and decorative lighting rather than task light. The 230mm width and 520mm height give it enough presence to anchor a bare wall without crowding tighter spaces such as a landing or alcove. Hard-wired to mains 230V, it should be fitted by a qualified electrician to a back box behind the leather mounting strap.

Each alabaster shell is cut from natural stone, so the cloudy mineral veining, tonal shifts and translucency vary between individual pieces. When unlit the surfaces present as soft warm white with subtle grey marbling; when lit, the internal texture of the stone becomes visible and the split between the two shells throws a defined vertical line of light against the wall. The matt black leather strap with visible stitching forms a deliberate textural contrast against the polished stone.

Does it need an electrician to fit?

Yes. The Majorae is a hard-wired 230V mains fitting and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The leather mounting strap conceals the fixings and the back box connection.

What colour temperature is the LED?

The integrated LED runs at 3000K, a warm white that suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. It complements the natural cream tones of the Spanish alabaster rather than cooling them down.

Will the alabaster look the same as the photograph?

The shape and proportions are consistent, but the veining and cloudy mineral patterns vary between pieces because the stone is natural. Each Majorae is therefore visually unique, particularly when lit.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated rather than a separate replaceable bulb. Integrated LEDs of this type typically have a long rated lifespan; the fitting carries a 2-year warranty as listed in the Specification.
