Majorae Small Split Alabaster LED Wall Light - Matte Black

The Majorae Small is a 360mm x 185mm wall light built from two carved halves of natural Spanish alabaster, separated by a slim matte black leather band that runs vertically down the centre. An integrated LED behind the leather spine washes light through both alabaster shells at 3000K on 230V mains, with the stone itself acting as the diffuser.

The fitting is sized for hallways, bedside walls, stairwells and lounge alcoves where a sculptural wall light is wanted without the bulk of a larger fixture. The compact 360mm height suits walls between standard pendants and dado-height applications, and the 185mm width keeps the projection close to the wall plane. All fixings are concealed behind the alabaster halves, so the front face presents as two stone forms held by a single leather strap with no visible screws or brackets.

Each half is cut from a different section of Spanish alabaster, so the cloud-like veining and translucency vary between pieces and between the two shells of a single fitting. The leather centre band introduces a tactile contrast against the stone, with visible stitching along its edges adding a deliberate handmade detail. Lit, the alabaster shows internal mineral texture and warm tonal shifts; unlit, it reads as a pale carved sculpture against the wall.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Majorae uses an integrated LED behind the central leather band, rated at 3000K warm white on 230V mains. There is no replaceable bulb to fit on installation.

Is the alabaster the same on every piece?

No. Each shell is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, cloud patterns and translucency differ between pieces. The two halves of a single fitting will also vary slightly, which is part of the natural material and not a defect.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Majorae does not carry an IP rating in its specification, so it should be installed in dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones or external use.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and damp cleaning. The leather band can be dusted with the same dry cloth.
