Marea LED Alabaster Wall Light - Matte Black

The Marea is a 280mm wide wall light built from a curved solid copper frame finished in matte black, wrapping around a teardrop-shaped panel of natural Spanish alabaster. A brushed brass back plate sits behind the body, visible at the upper edge where the matte black form lifts away from the wall. An integrated 8W LED at 3000K runs on 230V mains, lighting the alabaster from within so the stone itself becomes the diffuser.

Designed for hallways, staircases, bedrooms, living rooms and hospitality interiors, the Marea works as a single accent beside a doorway or mirror, or repeated in pairs and runs along a corridor. The 240mm height and 101mm projection from the wall keep it close to the surface, suiting narrower passageways where deeper sconces would feel intrusive. Two visible screw fixings at the top of the frame hold the alabaster panel in place against the copper body.

The teardrop silhouette is asymmetric: the upper edge curves out broadly while the lower section tapers in towards the wall, giving the fitting a sense of forward motion when viewed in profile. Each alabaster panel is cut from natural stone, so the veining patterns, mineral inclusions and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The matte black finish on the copper sits as a deep neutral against both pale and richly painted walls, while the brass back plate adds a warm secondary tone where it catches light.

Does the Marea need a separate bulb?

No. The 8W LED is integrated into the fitting and pre-wired, running on 230V mains. There is no replaceable bulb, so there's nothing to source separately at installation or to swap out later.

Is it dimmable?

The integrated LED runs at 8W on standard 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer module being used; please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm suitability for this fitting.

How does it fit to the wall?

The Marea is hard-wired to mains and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The brushed brass back plate fixes to the wall and the matte black copper body sits over it, with the alabaster panel held by two visible screws at the top of the frame.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral inclusions and translucency differ between pieces. The variation is most visible when the LED is lit, where individual patterning shows through the stone. This is a feature of the natural material rather than a defect.
