Marmo Alabaster Wall Light - Gold & Natural Stone

The Marmo is a wall light built around a vertical alabaster panel set within a gold-plated metal frame. A single E14 bulb (sold separately, 40W maximum) sits behind the stone panel on the back plate, casting warm light through the alabaster and reflecting off the recessed gold backplate. The stone panel measures approximately 305mm tall by 96mm wide, creating a vertical accent on the wall.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls, and bedrooms where ambient accent lighting is wanted without a strong direct downlight effect, the Marmo provides soft wash light rather than focused task illumination. The 99mm projection from the wall means it sits slightly proud of the surface, giving the stone panel presence when viewed from the side. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations only.

The alabaster panel shows natural tonal variation and veining in warm cream and pale gold tones, visible both when the light is on and when it's off. The gold-plated frame uses a polished finish that reflects surrounding light and pairs with warm brass hardware, gold-toned fixtures, and marble or stone surfaces elsewhere in the room. The metal and marble construction gives the fitting weight and rigidity on the wall mount.

What bulb does it take?

The Marmo takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the warm tone of the alabaster and gold.

Does the alabaster panel vary between pieces?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual fittings. This is a characteristic of the natural stone material.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the Marmo is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations where moisture or direct water contact is present.

How is the stone cleaned?

Wipe the alabaster gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays or chemical cleaners. The gold-plated frame can be wiped with a dry cloth.
