Marveta Small Rounded Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass

The Marveta is a 414mm-tall table lamp built around a rounded shade carved from a single block of natural Spanish alabaster, sat on a brushed brass cylindrical stem and a circular brushed brass base. A short brass collar caps the top of the alabaster, mirroring the stem below. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately), housed inside the stone so that the alabaster itself acts as the diffuser.

At 280mm in diameter the Marveta suits sideboards, console tables, hallway tables and bedside tables where a compact, sculptural light source is wanted alongside or instead of a taller lamp. The 414mm height keeps the lamp below typical eye level when seated, so the alabaster glow reads as ambient rather than direct. The brass base provides a stable, weighted foot on hard surfaces and runners.

Each alabaster shade shows different mineral veining and tonal variation depending on the section of stone it was cut from, with denser areas reading as warmer cream and thinner areas glowing more brightly when the bulb is on. The rounded, softly squared profile and the cylindrical brass stem give the lamp an architectural feel that pairs with both modern and transitional interiors. The brushed brass finish softens reflections and works against warm timbers, marble, and cooler painted walls.

What bulb does the Marveta take?

The lamp takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. For warm ambient light through the alabaster, most users pair it with a 6-9W LED at 2700K-3000K. Avoid high-wattage filament bulbs that generate excess heat inside the stone shade.

Does each lamp look the same?

No. The shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, density and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. When lit, thinner sections of stone glow more brightly than denser areas, giving each Marveta a unique pattern.

Where does the Marveta work best?

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
