Montyra LED Panelled Alabaster Linear Chandelier - Soft White & Brass

The Montyra is a 950mm linear suspension chandelier built around an oval brass frame fitted with a sequence of vertically stepped alabaster panels. Each panel is cut from solid Spanish alabaster and arranged in an alternating high-low rhythm around the perimeter, giving the fitting a crenellated profile. An integrated 3000K LED runs along the inside of the frame, lighting the stone from within so the panels glow as the primary light source.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and large rectangular console areas, the 950mm length suits tables seating six to eight diners. The oval geometry projects light along the length of a table rather than in a single point, making it a practical fit over rectangular surfaces where a round pendant would leave the ends in shadow. Suspension is by four fine steel cables from a slim brass ceiling plate, with cable length adjustable on installation to set the drop above the surface.

The brass frame is finished in a warm soft brass tone that pairs with the pale, naturally veined alabaster. Because each panel is cut from a different section of stone, the veining, translucency and tonal variation differ across the fitting, so light passes through some panels more readily than others. The 240mm overall height keeps the chandelier proportionate over standard 750mm dining tables without dominating the sightline across the room.

What size table does the Montyra suit?

The 950mm length and 350mm width work well over rectangular dining tables seating six to eight, and over kitchen islands of similar length. As a guide, the chandelier should be 200-300mm shorter than the table at each end, so a table of around 1.4-1.8m is the typical fit.

How is it hung and how high should it sit?

The chandelier suspends on four fine steel cables from a slim brass ceiling plate, with cable length cut to size on installation. Over a dining table, the underside of the fitting typically sits 700-800mm above the surface. The 240mm overall height keeps it proportionate in rooms with 2.4m or higher ceilings.

Does the alabaster vary between panels?

Yes. Each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral density and translucency differ between individual panels and between fittings. Some panels glow more strongly than others when lit, which is a feature of the natural material rather than a fault.

What colour is the LED?

The integrated LED runs at 3000K, a warm white tone that suits the pale alabaster and brass palette. The LED runs the full inside length of the oval frame, lighting the stone evenly rather than from a few point sources.
