Description
The Noctyra is a compact alabaster wall light built around a 150mm sphere of natural Spanish alabaster, mounted forward from a circular black backplate on a short black stem. A single E14 lamp sits inside the sphere, lighting the stone from within so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than a separate shade.
Sized for use in pairs along a hallway, either side of a bed, or flanking a bathroom mirror outside zone splash areas, the Noctyra projects roughly 200mm from the wall and casts a soft pool of warm light across the wall surface behind it. The forward-set sphere creates a clear shadow gap between the stone and the backplate, giving the fitting depth on the wall rather than reading as flat.
Each alabaster sphere is cut from natural stone, so the cloudy veining and warm tonal patches visible when lit vary from piece to piece. The black backplate provides a graphic disc behind the stone that frames the sphere clearly against pale or patterned walls. Brass and alabaster construction give the fitting a solid, weighty feel typical of stone-shaded wall lights at this size.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Noctyra take?
The Noctyra takes a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED of 4-6W at 2700K-3000K works well, letting the natural amber tones in the alabaster come through without overpowering the stone.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Noctyra does not carry an IP rating in the supplied specification, so it should be installed outside bathroom zones where it will not be exposed to direct splashes or steam. It is suitable for use near a vanity mirror in a well-ventilated bathroom only if positioned clear of zones 0, 1 and 2.
Will the alabaster look identical to the photo?
No. Each sphere is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, cloudy patches and warm tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The patterns become more visible once the bulb is lit and the stone is back-illuminated.
How far does it project from the wall?
The fitting projects roughly 200mm from the wall, with the 150mm alabaster sphere set forward of the circular black backplate on a short stem. This forward-set mounting creates a defined shadow gap between the sphere and the backplate.
