Orlune LED Sculpted Pear Alabaster Pendant Light - Soft White

The Orlune is a 200mm pear-shaped pendant light carved from a single piece of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended on a solid copper rod with an aged bronze finish. An integrated 3000K LED sits concealed inside the stone body, lighting the entire shade from within so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than a separate glass or fabric layer.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, bedside positions and stairwells, the compact 130mm diameter means a row of three or five Orlune pendants can run along an island without crowding the worktop. Single units suit pairing either side of a bed or above a console table. The pendant connects to a standard UK ceiling rose and the suspension drop can be adjusted on installation to set the shade 700-800mm above a worktop.

The double-gourd silhouette, with a smaller upper sphere flowing into a fuller lower curve, is shaped from a single block of alabaster so the veining runs continuously across the form. Each piece shows different mineral patterning and tonal variation, from cool grey-white at the top to warmer honey tones where the stone is thicker. Unlit, the pendant reads as a sculpted pale stone object; lit, the natural marbling becomes the dominant feature.

Does the Orlune come with a bulb?

The light source is an integrated 3000K LED built into the pendant, so no separate bulb is required. The LED is not user-replaceable.

Can I hang several Orlune pendants in a row?

Yes. The compact 130mm diameter and 200mm height make the Orlune well suited to multiple-pendant runs over kitchen islands or breakfast bars. Each pendant is supplied as a single unit on its own suspension, so spacing and drop heights can be set independently during installation.

Why does each pendant look slightly different?

The shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a manufacturing inconsistency.

How should the alabaster be cleaned?

Wipe the shade gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Alabaster is porous and softer than marble, so avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but the stone should not be soaked.
