Orvyn Small Alabaster Globe Pendant Light - Matte Black

The Orvyn is a small alabaster globe pendant light measuring 120mm in diameter and 350mm in height, built around a 120mm sphere of natural Spanish alabaster suspended below a slim matte black oval frame. A discreet brass collar sits at the top of the frame where the cable enters, breaking the black metal with a thin band of warm tone. The pendant takes a single G9 lamp (sold separately).

The compact globe scale suits installations where a full-size alabaster pendant would dominate the room. Use Orvyn singly above a bedside table, in a downstairs cloakroom, or over a console in a hallway. Hung in a row of three or five along a kitchen island or above a longer dining table, the small globe lets the alabaster register clearly without crowding the ceiling plane. The 350mm fixture height suits ceilings of 2.4m or higher; the cable can be shortened on installation.

Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. When the G9 lamp is lit, the stone glows from within and the natural mineral structure becomes visible across the surface. The matte black oval frame is finished in a low-sheen powder coat that holds its definition against the softly lit alabaster, while the brass detail at the cable entry warms the transition between metal stem and stone.

What bulb does the Orvyn take?

The pendant takes a single G9 capsule lamp, sold separately. A warm-white G9 LED between 2700K and 3000K and 3-4W is recommended to bring out the natural warmth of the alabaster without overpowering the small globe.

Does each alabaster globe look the same?

No. Each globe is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ from piece to piece. This is a feature of the natural stone and not a manufacturing defect.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The cable drop above the 350mm fixture height can be adjusted at installation to suit the ceiling height and the position of the pendant. Hard-wiring should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the globe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water as this can mark the surface.
