Petraia 4 Tier Floral Alabaster Chandelier - Brushed Brass

The Petraia is a 980mm four-tier chandelier built from sculpted natural Spanish alabaster petals layered across a brushed brass frame. Each tier reduces in diameter as it descends, with carved alabaster leaves arranged around brushed brass support rings. The fitting takes 31 E14 bulbs (sold separately) housed within the tiers, casting light outward through the alabaster petals and downward through the open base.

At 650mm tall and 980mm wide, the Petraia is sized for larger rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above — formal dining rooms, double-height entrance halls, lounges and stairwell voids. The 1000mm rope-wrapped suspension drop can be adjusted on installation to set the chandelier 700-900mm above a dining table or higher in stairwell positions. The brushed brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

Each alabaster petal is cut from natural Spanish stone, so veining and translucency vary across the 100+ pieces that make up the four tiers. When the bulbs are lit, light passes through the petals and reveals the mineral patterning unique to each one, while the solid copper frame finished in brushed brass provides the structural geometry. The combination of petal-shaped stone and concentric brass rings gives the chandelier a layered, floral silhouette without becoming overly ornamental.

What bulbs does the Petraia take?

The chandelier takes 31 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K to match the soft glow the alabaster petals are designed to diffuse.

What ceiling height is needed?

At 650mm tall plus a 1000mm suspension drop, the Petraia suits ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The drop can be shortened on installation for lower ceilings, or used at full length in stairwells and double-height halls.

Does the alabaster vary between petals?

Yes. Each petal is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, tonal variation and translucency differ across every piece. This natural variation becomes most visible when the chandelier is lit and is a feature of the material rather than a defect.

How is it cleaned?

Dust the alabaster petals with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble. The brushed brass frame can be wiped with a dry cloth; do not use abrasive pads.
