Petraia 6 Light Floral Alabaster Chandelier - Brushed Brass

The Petraia is a 550mm single-tier alabaster chandelier built from carved petal-shaped panels of natural Spanish alabaster, arranged in two staggered rings around a central brushed brass band. Six E14 lamp sockets sit inside the frame, casting light outward through the stone petals and downward through the open base. The suspension uses a fabric-wrapped twisted cable in a natural tone, finishing the fitting with a softer alternative to a chrome or brass rod.

Suited to dining tables, lounge seating areas and larger bedrooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher, the Petraia gives a sculptural silhouette without the visual weight of a multi-tier crystal chandelier. The 1000mm cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the fitting to sit 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in lounge and bedroom positions. At 205mm tall and 550mm wide, it covers a 1.4-2m table comfortably.

Each alabaster petal is cut from natural stone, so the veining patterns and tonal variation differ between panels and between individual chandeliers. The brushed brass ring threads through the centre of the petals, providing the structural spine and a warm metallic line that breaks up the soft white of the alabaster. The combined materials give the fitting genuine weight and substance rather than the lightweight feel of glass or acrylic alternatives.

What bulbs does the Petraia take?

The chandelier holds six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this fitting with warm-white LED candle bulbs around 4-6W and 2700K-3000K, which complement the natural tone of the alabaster petals.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 1000mm cable is adjustable on installation. The Petraia works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.5m or higher. For a dining table the chandelier typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, while in lounge and bedroom positions it can hang higher.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each petal is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual panels and between chandeliers. This is a feature of the natural stone, not a defect.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the petals gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, which can stain or dull the surface. The brushed brass band can be wiped with the same cloth.
