Selvara LED Large Alabaster Double Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Selvara is a 620mm tall double wall light built from two parallel columns of natural Spanish alabaster mounted to a slim brushed brass backplate. An integrated 16W LED runs the length of each column, casting warm 3000K light through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. The fitting measures 150mm wide and projects 100mm from the wall.

Sized for hallways, bedside positions, dining room walls and stair landings, the Selvara works as accent and ambient lighting rather than primary task light. The vertical orientation draws the eye upward and suits walls between framed art, either side of a headboard, or flanking a mirror or doorway. Pairs of Selvara fittings installed symmetrically give a balanced wash of light without requiring a downlight grid.

Each alabaster column is cut from natural stone, so veining, mineral inclusions and tonal variation differ between pieces — when lit, the stone shows soft grey and amber striations that change depending on viewing angle. The brushed brass backplate has a low-sheen warm finish that pairs comfortably with both contemporary and transitional interiors. At 16W per fitting on 230V mains, the Selvara runs cool enough for close-proximity installation near soft furnishings.

Is the Selvara dimmable?

The integrated LED is rated at 16W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

Does the alabaster vary between fittings?

Yes. Each column is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral patterning and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and means no two Selvara fittings are identical when lit.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Selvara does not carry a bathroom IP rating in its specification. It is intended for general interior use such as hallways, bedrooms, dining areas and living rooms rather than zoned bathroom installation.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
