Selvara LED Medium Alabaster Double Wall Light - Matt Black

The Selvara Medium is a 480mm vertical wall light built around two parallel bars of natural Spanish alabaster mounted on a matt black rectangular backplate. An integrated 12W LED runs the length of each alabaster bar, casting warm 3000K light through the stone so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser. Total dimensions are 150mm wide, 480mm tall and 100mm deep, with a 230V mains feed.

The slim 100mm projection from the wall makes the Selvara suitable for hallways, stairwell landings, bedside positions and bathroom-adjacent dressing areas where a low-profile fitting is needed. Paired symmetrically either side of a mirror, headboard or artwork, the vertical format reinforces room height and frames the central object. A single fitting works equally well as accent lighting beside a reading chair or in a narrow corridor.

Each pair of alabaster bars is cut from natural stone, so the veining, mineral cloudiness and tonal variation differ between fittings. The matt black backplate and end caps are finished in a low-sheen black that absorbs reflections and gives a defined edge against pale walls. The combined weight of stone and steel keeps the fitting flush to the wall without flex, and the integrated LED removes any need for separate bulbs.

Does the Selvara come with a bulb?

No separate bulb is needed. The 12W LED is integrated into the fitting and powered directly from a 230V mains feed.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Specification tab does not list an IP rating for this fitting, so it should be treated as a standard interior wall light suitable for hallways, bedrooms and living areas rather than bathroom zones. For bathroom installation, choose a fitting with a stated IP44 rating or higher.

Does each fitting look the same?

The matt black metalwork is consistent between fittings, but the alabaster bars are cut from natural Spanish stone. Veining, cloudiness and tonal variation differ between individual pieces, so no two Selvara wall lights are identical when lit.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
