Selvara LED Medium Alabaster Wall Light - Brushed Brass

The Selvara Medium is a 480mm vertical alabaster wall light built around a slim rectangular bar of natural Spanish alabaster, mounted offset to a brushed brass backplate. An integrated 6W LED runs the full length of the bar at 3000K, lighting the stone uniformly from top to bottom so the alabaster itself becomes the diffuser rather than the light source being visible.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, living rooms and bedside positions, the vertical form draws the eye upward and works well in pairs flanking a mirror, doorway, headboard or piece of art. The 110mm width and 100mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall, so it suits narrower corridors and circulation spaces where a wider sconce would catch shoulders or feel intrusive. The 230V integrated LED hardwires directly into a standard wall back box.

Each alabaster bar is cut from natural stone, so veining patterns and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. The offset brushed brass backplate is finished with a soft directional grain that catches light without producing the high reflections of polished brass, giving the fitting a warm metallic accent that pairs with both contemporary and modern-classic interiors. Combined width across alabaster and backplate sits at roughly 160mm.

Is the Selvara dimmable?

The integrated LED draws 6W on 230V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model, so please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

The Selvara is not supplied with an IP rating in the specification, so it is intended for general indoor use rather than zoned bathroom installation. For bathroom positions, choose a fitting with a stated IP44 or higher rating appropriate to the zone.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each bar is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining, mineral patterning and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material and gives each fitting its own character when lit.

How is it cleaned?

Wipe the alabaster gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners. The brushed brass backplate can be wiped with the same dry cloth.
