Serano Small Alabaster Pillar Pendant Light - Brass

The Serano small pendant pairs a 90mm block of natural Spanish alabaster with a brushed brass disc, suspension stem and ceiling plate. The shade is cut to a near-cubic profile with softly rounded edges, mounted directly beneath a circular brass cap that sits flush against the top face of the stone. A single G9 lamp inside the alabaster diffuses light through the stone itself, lighting the shade from within rather than casting downward.

At 190mm tall and 90mm wide, this is a compact pendant suited to spaces where a smaller fitting is needed: above a kitchen island in multiples, flanking a bed as a hanging alternative to bedside lamps, or grouped at staggered drops over a hallway console. The slim brass stem keeps the visual weight low, so the pendant reads as a piece of lit stone rather than a bulky shade. Drop can be adjusted on installation to suit ceiling height.

Each alabaster block is cut from a different section of stone, so the veining, grey marbling and translucency vary between individual pieces. The brushed brass finish on the disc and stem softens reflections and warms against the cool tones in the alabaster. Solid copper construction beneath the brass plating provides a stable, weighty feel for a fitting at this scale.

What bulb does the Serano take?

The pendant takes a single G9 bulb, sold separately. A 3W-4W warm white LED G9 (2700K-3000K) gives the best result for showing the alabaster's veining without overheating the shade.

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each shade is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, grey marbling and translucency differ between individual pendants. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect, and it becomes most visible when the pendant is lit.

Can it be hung in a cluster or row?

The compact 90mm shade and slim stem make the Serano well-suited to grouped installations at staggered drops over a kitchen island, dining table or stairwell. Each pendant is wired individually, so spacing and drop heights are set during installation.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Wipe the shade with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, polishes and chemical cleaners, as alabaster is porous and softer than marble.
