The Serava is a 1500mm x 800mm alabaster loop pendant light formed from a continuous ribbon of natural Spanish alabaster, suspended on two brown leather belt straps with brushed brass canopies and end caps. An integrated 120W LED runs through the stone section, casting warm 3000K light through the alabaster so the loop itself becomes the diffuser rather than a hidden bulb behind a shade.

The medium scale suits dining tables of 1.6-2.4m, kitchen islands, double-height entrance halls and longer lounge layouts where a horizontal sculptural fitting works better than a single round pendant. The 1500mm cable drop is adjustable on installation by repositioning the belt buckles, allowing the loop to sit 700-900mm above a dining table or higher for general room lighting. Two ceiling fixing points are required, spaced to match the loop geometry.

The alabaster section is 100mm in diameter and consistent throughout the curve, giving the loop an even visual weight as it travels through the air. Each section of stone shows different mineral veining and tonal variation, so the warm light reads slightly differently along the length. The leather belts use real stitched leather with adjustment holes and brass-finished metal fittings, echoing saddlery hardware rather than hidden suspension wires.

How is the Serava fixed to the ceiling?

Does the alabaster vary between pieces?

Yes. Each loop is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so veining patterns, tonal variation and translucency differ along the length and between individual fittings. This is a feature of the natural material and is most visible when the LED is on.
