Solaryn 1 Light Offset Alabaster Table Lamp - Brass & Soft White

The Solaryn is a 720mm alabaster table lamp built around an asymmetric composition of natural Spanish alabaster blocks set alongside a brushed brass column, finished with a 380mm white PVC drum shade and a brass ball finial. Three vertical alabaster sections of stepped heights sit against the brass stem, raising the centre of gravity off the central axis and giving the lamp a sculptural rather than purely functional silhouette. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately).

Designed for console tables, sideboards, hallway tables and bedroom dressers, the Solaryn works best where its full 720mm height can read against a wall or in front of a mirror. The white PVC shade diffuses the E27 bulb into soft ambient light, making the lamp suitable as a bedside reader paired with a warm-white LED, or as a low-level evening light in a living room. The circular marble base measures within the 380mm diameter footprint and gives the lamp a stable, grounded stance on narrower surfaces.

The alabaster sections show natural mineral veining and tonal variation, with grey and cream banding that differs between individual pieces — no two Solaryn lamps look identical. The brushed brass column and matching brass collar at the base add a warm metallic line that runs from the marble plinth up to the finial, anchoring the offset stone arrangement. The combination of cool white marble at the base, warm brass at the stem and translucent alabaster against it gives the lamp three distinct material tones in a single fitting.

What bulb does the Solaryn take?

The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the white PVC shade for ambient or bedside use.

Is the alabaster natural stone?

Yes. The vertical alabaster sections are cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.

What surfaces does it suit?

At 720mm tall with a 380mm shade, the Solaryn suits console tables, sideboards, hallway tables, dressers and larger bedside tables. It is taller than a standard bedside lamp, so it reads best where there is wall or mirror behind it.

How is the alabaster cleaned?

Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. Avoid household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners, and do not soak the stone with water.
